This month’s Mayor’s civic duties have included the following:
- 27.11.2026 – Resilience meeting.
- 29.11.2025 – Switch on of the Lights.
- 30.11.2025 – Light Up Life Gosforth, Hospice at Home South Cumbria.
- 07.12.2025 – Holy Trinity, Phoenix Singers performing their prize new carol. Most enjoyable.
- 08.12.2025 – Resilience meeting. Scenario: flooding.
- 11.12.2025 – Police Neighbourhood Meeting held with Sergeant MacDonald. Discussion: anti-social behaviour, vandalism, parking, speeding.
- 21.12.2025 – Carol Service, Haverigg.
- 22.12.2025 – Christmas carols around Haverigg Christmas tree.
- 25.12.2025 – Visited Lapstone House, Millom Hospital and St George’s Care Home with hampers.
- 06.01.2026 – Solicitors meeting to discuss Salvation Army and the way forward.
- 19.01.2026 – Meeting with Rebecca Chesher, Millom School of Music – possible invite to civic events.
- 19.01.2026 – Meeting with the Clerk. Information received by the solicitor. Workshop arranged for all councillors.
- 19.01.2026 – Resilience meeting. Scenario: snow.
- 19.01.2026 – Remembrance review. New Remembrance Event Policy to be ratified next month.
- 21.01.2026 – Attendance requested by H.M.P. Haverigg. Present at the taking down of the crib.
