Historical PDFs: Fully remediating all legacy PDFs would place an undue burden at this time. We are prioritising essential documents and providing accessible alternatives on request. We will review this assessment annually.
Planning applications (dynamic listings): In some browser/screen-reader combinations, pagination updates may not be announced consistently or may be verbose (SC 4.1.3 Status Messages), and keyboard focus order during dynamic updates can be confusing (SC 2.4.3 Focus Order). Fully rebuilding this component requires custom development work and is beyond current resources. We’ve implemented low-cost improvements and provide a more accessible route on the unitary authority website. Reviewed annually.
Cookie consent system (third-party): In some scenarios the banner may obscure focus or create a confusing focus order (SC 2.4.3, 2.4.11), and some controls may not have programmatically determinable names for assistive technologies (SC 1.1.1, 4.1.2). Replacing or custom-building a fully accessible system that complies with both GDPR and WCAG AA laws and standards is not feasible within current resources. We provide a permanent Cookie Settings page and alternative access to content on request. Reviewed annually.
