
We have 15 Ward Councillors who meet on the last Wednesday of every month to discuss current topics, finance and planning issues. The meetings are chaired by the Chair of the Town Council, who serves for one year.
Millom Town Council are responsible for Millom and Haverigg Parks and Public Toilets, Haverigg Foreshore and the Beach Cafe, Earl St and Lincoln St Allotments.
Millom Town Council will be liaising with public bodies and organisations to consider the Council’s involvement in providing services and resources.

From there, I went to work at Millom Infants School, where I completed my NVQ for a teaching assistant. I became the Care Taker for 12 years.
I retired from this employment.
Charity Work has always been my passion, and after retiring,g this gave me more time to dedicate to it.
I was the secretary of Millom Royal British Legion for 10 years
I decided to set up a Veterans Breakfast Club once a month, and this is still successfully running and moving into its 13th year

I was born and raised in Stretford, Manchester. I have had a career in Engineering for 43 years, culminating in 29yrs at Sellafield achieving the role of Head of Engineering for Nuclear Ventilation. I have lived in Millom for 34 years which I have made my home.

Born in Ellesmere Shropshire and raised in the Somme France. I have worked in education for 41 years. I have lived in Haverigg for 24 years and taught at Millom School as Head of Arts for 16 years. Then I taught French both in Millom School and the Primary Schools in Millom.
Trustee at the Beggars Theatre. Millom School- Governor Member of the Haverigg Resident Association. Member of PPG (Patient Participation Group) Waterloo House surgery. Member of the Millom and Haverigg Together CIC group. Volunteer for the Veterans Breakfast Club.

I was invited to join the Millom Town Deal Board in 2023, and I am currently Chair of the Communication and Engagement Sub- Group. We aim to maximise community engagement by sharing essential updates as the projects begin to take shape. I believe the Millom Town Deal will bring not only changes but also a great deal of opportunities for this community.
