Chairman’s Report – March 2026
Disappointed to learn about the recent vandalism within Millom Toilets.
I attended a flood group meeting with their representatives, MP Michelle Scrogham and Mr Karl Melville, Assistant Director of Highways and Transport Cumberland Council. The meeting went very well with a discussion detailing the affected flood residents. Mr Melville gave a good update on how the proposed £40 million would be spent.
Attended a meeting in the Millom Heritage and Arts Centre with the Mayor Cllr Faulkner.
Email Cumberland Council regarding the solar lighting on the back footpath to Queens Park
Visited the Old Library in Millom to see the work that has recently been carried out.
Attended Andy’s Man Club celebrations with Mayor Cllr Faulkner.
