(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2025
Cumberland Council made an order to enable utility works to be carried out (“the Works”) which came into operation on 30 June 2025.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the U4133 Silverdale Street, Haverigg from its junction with Main Street, extending in a south westerly direction for approximately 30 metres.
The Works have been rescheduled and will now be carried out under the provisions of the above stated Order on 25th September 2025 and are expected to be in place for an approximate duration of 7 days, as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, and there is no suitable alternative route for vehicles.
Nothing in the Order to which this notice relates shall:
- Apply to emergency service vehicles, or vehicles being used by statutory undertakers in the performance of their duties; and
- Apply to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; and
- Have the effect of preventing at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the roads, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from the roads; and
- Apply to vehicles being used in connection with the Works.
