Millom Remembrance Day Parade

Programme
- – Organisations participating please meet at the Tin Chapel.
- – Parade briefing inside the Tin Chapel.
- – Johnny Swales to lead with bagpipes.
- – Parade form up in designated positions (Mainsgate Road).
- – Parade marches off (Mainsgate Road → Lapstone Road → St George’s Terrace → St George’s Road). Salute the “Weeping Wall”.
- – Parade arrives at St George’s Church.
- – Remembrance Sunday religious service begins.
- – Parade reforms (St George’s Road).
- – Parade marches off to Millom Memorial; bagpipes played by Johnny Swales.
- – Poem recorded by Millom & Haverigg School children, “The Inquisitive Mind of a Child”.
- – Exhortation read by Mr P. Porter.
- – Last Post (Mrs Catherine Clarke, bugle). Two-minute silence.
- – Reveille (Mrs Catherine Clarke). Kohima read by Mr P. Porter. Wreath laying (by order of precedence).
- Recording of St James’ Choir (“In Flanders Field”) during dismissal from the Memorial.
