The mayor’s announcements were circulated prior to the meeting. No declarations of pecuniary interest were received.
The clerk reported that all office actions from the previous meeting had been completed.
The minutes of the meeting held on 24th November 2021 were approved and signed as a true record.
Minutes of the Finance Committee meeting held on 23rd November 2021 were noted.
Minutes of the extraordinary meeting held on 12th January 2022 were approved.

The council agreed to participate in March, subject to volunteers. Clerk to arrange date and posters.
Meeting scheduled for 3rd February 2022 with Copeland Borough Council. Clerk to arrange a pre‑meeting for councillors to prepare questions.
Review of current committees agreed. A meeting to be arranged by Clr Brace with Clrs Peter, Kelly, Pattinson, Brace, and McGrath.
Clr Brace attended the Town Board meeting and provided updates on the Iron Line, Heritage Buildings, Community Health, and connectivity projects. Council requested a Town Board presentation.
No meeting held. Trees for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee are expected to be planted mid‑March.
Clr McGrath to assist the clerk in finalising lease arrangements.
Presentation and walkabout to be arranged for councillors.
