In the community, for the community!

This Month’s Civic Duties

  1. 26 March 2025: Correction to last month’s statement – the reported meeting between Bank Head residents and the MP was actually a drop-in at the MP’s surgery. Apologies for the misinformation.

  4. 1 April 2025: Participated in a productive Millom Town Deal workshop at Haverigg Lighthouse with the Town Council. Action: Develop an Economic Plan.

  9. 5 April 2025: Attended the Veterans Breakfast Club.
  10. 5–6 April 2025: Created a PowerPoint presentation for schools explaining the history of Millom’s War Memorial; shared with all local primary schools, each of which received an Old Penny.
  11. 25 April 2025: Collected ancient maps left in the Old Library with the Chair.
  12. 26 April 2025: Attended Whicham Parish Council Meeting and Public Meeting.
  13. 27 April 2025: Attended Dalton Mayor’s appeal event with the Deputy Mayor.
