Editorial Policy:

1. Purpose:

This document sets out the editorial policy for Millom Town Council (MTC) website (https://millomtowncouncil). The objective of this policy is to ensure that the website maintains a high standard of accurate and relevant information for parishioners and others accessing the site.

2. The Website:

2.1 The MTC Website is not a commercial venture: the costs of hosting are covered by the Town Council.

2.2 The main aims of the website are to:

  • Publicise the work of MTC to its parishioners
  • Publish the information required to comply with the Transparency Code.

Millom Town Council will, within the limited resources available, continue to improve the website so that it provides a useful source of up-to-date information for parishioners. Millom Town Council welcomes constructive comments, both positive and negative.
