Millom Town Council
Millom Town Council was formed in 1974 when the parish boundaries changed from Cumberland.
Present: Mayor Cllr Angela Dixon (AD), Cllr Ruth Peter (RP), Cllr Janice Brown (JB), Cllr Barbara Crellin (BC), Cllr J Micklethwaite (JM), Cllr T Fitzwilliam (TF), Cllr J Jakubowski (JJ), and Clerk Vicky Bradley

The Clerk has received a letter of request from the GNAAS. As in previous years, it was AGREED to support this worthwhile charity with a donation of £200.
Action: Clerk to arrange cheque.
In the absence of Cllr T Dixon, AD informed the meeting that TD had got together some prices for these, the costs being £380 for one complete stall. It was AGREED that if funds were available, we should purchase 10 stalls at a cost of £3800.
Action: TD to forward details to Clerk and Clerk to check budget and, if available, order them.
The Clerk informed the meeting that she had received an email from Cockermouth TC who had excess playground wood bark available at a reduced rate. After discussion, it was AGREED not to purchase as the ground surface needed some preparatory work doing before laying more, and the timescales for delivery could not be met due to work needed.
Action: Clerk to contact Cockermouth TC to inform them of decision.
