Millom Town Council was formed in 1974 when the parish boundaries changed from Cumberland.
MINUTES OF AN EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF MILLOM TOWN COUNCIL HELD ON MONDAY 19TH JUNE 2023 COMMENCING 06.30PM IN THE COUNCIL OFFICES
PRESENT: Cllr G McGrath (Chair), Cllr S Faulkner, Cllr R Kelly, Cllr J Brown, Cllr R Pattinson, Cllr B Crellin, Cllr B Amos, Clerk Mrs Cath Jopson
Apologies were received from Cllr R Peter, Cllr S Peter due to ill health and Cllr D Billing (on vacation)
No items on the agenda needed the exclusion of the press or public.
Cllr Amos declared an interest in candidate Alexandra Gager-Leibhart as she was his employee.
No members of the public were present
Five applications had been received for co-option to the Millom Town Council. The clerk gave copies of the applications to all councillors present for their perusal prior to a decision being made.
The following is a list of candidates and decisions:
Action: Clerk to arrange for Acceptance of Office to be signed and returned to the Cumberland Authority Returning Officer, new councillor packs to be given to all and Declaration of Interest forms to be filled in by them and returned to Clerk prior to submission to Returning Officer.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 06.45pm
